Regular Season Round 19: Den Bosch - Amsterdam 64-62

The most exciting game of round 19 in the Eredivisie took place in Den Bosch. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Amsterdam (7-12) to fourth ranked Dukes UDB (9-10) 64-62 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Amsterdam won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Charles Mitchell (203, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Max Van-Schaik (210-91, agency: Court Side) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Aaron Roye (184-88) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Dukes UDB maintains fourth place with 9-10 record. Amsterdam lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Dukes UDB are looking forward to face Leeuwarden (#7) at home in the next round. Amsterdam will play against the league's second-placed Leiden and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
