Regular Season Round 21: Gent Hawks - Oxaco 85-82

The most exciting game of round 21 in the Top Division I took place in Gent. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Oxaco (14-6) to first ranked Gent Hawks (16-3) 85-82 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oxaco. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gent Hawks had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. Five Gent Hawks and four Oxaco players scored in double figures. Gent Hawks have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Oxaco at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Gembo BBC. Gent Hawks are looking forward to face Houthalen (#5) on the road in the next round. Oxaco will play against RPC Anderlecht and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
