Regular Season Round 7: Bima Perkasa - Satria Muda 51-93

The game in Sakti supposed to be also worth to mention about. Leader Satria Muda (4-0) played at the court of 8th ranked Bima Perkasa (1-4). Satria Muda smashed Bima Perkasa 93-51. It looked good early as Bima Perkasa took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Satria Muda had a 29-14 second period charge getting the lead and Bima Perkasa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-93. Satria Muda dominated on the defensive end, holding Bima Perkasa to just 6 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Bima Perkasa's 16. Satria Muda forced 32 Bima Perkasa turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Satria Muda players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Bima Perkasa's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyreek Jewell (185-93, college: St.Francis, NY) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import forward Carlos Smith (206-90, college: Bowie St.) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Tyrell Corbin (184-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with 27 points and 4 steals and the former international Yanuar Dwi-Priasmoro (178-89) added 11 points in the effort for Bima Perkasa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Satria Muda have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Bima Perkasa lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with JNE BSC. Satria Muda will play against Hang Tuah (#5) in Pandang in the next round. Bima Perkasa will have a break next round.
