Regular Season Round 19: Limoges - Strasbourg 83-76

We should mention about the upset which took place in Limoges, where 8th ranked Strasbourg IG (10-9) lost to eleventh ranked Limoges CSP Elite (9-10) in a road game 76-83 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Strasbourg IG. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-76. Limoges CSP Elite made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. American point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St., agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Polish point guard AJ Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 15 points and 6 assists and international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Le Mans and Hyeres-Toulon. Loser Strasbourg IG dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with ASVEL. Limoges CSP Elite will meet at home league's second-placed Chalon/Saor in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Strasbourg IG will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
