Regular Season Round 37: Kagawa FA - Bambitious Nara 76-87

There was a minor upset in Takamatsu where 5th ranked Kagawa FA (10-25) was defeated by fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (12-23) 87-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bambitious Nara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) stepped up and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Rintaro Tokunaga (177-86) scored 19 points and 4 steals. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bambitious Nara. They maintain fifth place with 12-23 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 25 games lost. Bambitious Nara will have a break next round. Kagawa FA will play again at home against Bambitious Nara (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
