Regular Season Round 19: Santfeliuenc - Martorell 66-90

Not a big story in a game in Sant Feliu where 8th ranked Santfeliuenc (7-9) was rolled over by second ranked Martorell (12-4) 90-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Martorell. Santfeliuenc was better in third quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Santfeliuenc to just 6 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for guard David Jofresa (185-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points. Guard Guillem Jou (196-97) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Martorell players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Albert Simon (203-98) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Andorra guard Roger Lliteras (195-96) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Martorell. They keep a position of Group C-A leader, which they share with Calvia. Loser Santfeliuenc keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Martorell will face Sant Nicolau (#12) in Sabadell in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Santfeliuenc will play on the road against Menorca (#3) in Mahon and hope to win that game.
