The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sesto SG (16-2) on the court of sixth ranked Orvieto on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Orvieto 52-50. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 28-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Lithuanian power forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91, college: Texas) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Giulia Manzotti (176-93) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Orvieto (12-5) moved-up to fifth place in A2. Sesto SG at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Orvieto are looking forward to face Scrivia (#7) on the road in the next round. Sesto SG will play against Alghero (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
