Second Stage Round 4: Kaspiy-2 - Barsy-2 42-69

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Kaspiy-2 (0-10) was smashed by sixth ranked Barsy-2 (7-3) in Aktau 69-42 on Sunday. Barsy-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kaspiy-2's 24. Quite impressive performance for point guard Erkanat Kairosev (181-0) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 steals. Guard Ivan Dabrikov (187-99) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Barsy-2's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Leonid Kachaev (185-96) replied with 10 points and 4 steals and point guard Dmitry Muhin (172-0) added 13 points and 5 steals in the effort for Kaspiy-2. Barsy-2 maintains sixth position with 7-3 record. Loser Kaspiy-2 still closes the standings with ten games lost. Barsy-2 will face higher ranked Bars (#5) in Petropavlovsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kaspiy-2 will play on the road against Tigers Ast. (#8) in Astana and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
