Regular Season Round 21: Latina Basket - Roma Virtus 93-91

A very interesting game took place in Latina. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Roma Virtus (11-10) to sixth ranked Latina Basket (12-9) 93-91 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward John Brown (203-92, college: High Point) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and the former international swingman Daniele Sandri (197-90) added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Latina Basket moved-up to fifth place in A2. Roma Virtus at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Latina Basket's next round opponent will be Eurobasket Roma (#11) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Roma Virtus will play against Agropoli and hope to win that game.
