No shocking result in a game when first ranked Montegrano (17-1) won against on the road 8th ranked Rimini (9-9) 77-61 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese guard Ousmane Gueye (192-82) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Montegrano players scored in double figures. Montegrano's coach Gabriele Ceccarelli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Davide Meluzzi (180-98, agency: Interperformances) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Leonardo Battistini (194-95) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Montegrano maintains first position in B with 17-1 record. Loser Rimini keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Montegrano will face Taranto (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rimini will play against Venafro (#15) and hope to win that game.
