Very expected game when 14th ranked Valdiceppo (4-15) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Matera (11-7) 102-92 on Sunday. Matera outrebounded Valdiceppo 41-19 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Valdiceppo was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Stefano Laudoni (195-89) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds and guard Gianni Cantagalli (195-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Matera players scored in double figures. Center Alessandro Panzieri (201-95, college: High School) responded with 27 points and 5 rebounds and guard Federico Burini (190-93) scored 17 points and 9 assists. Valdiceppo's coach Paolo Pierotti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Matera maintains seventh position in B with 11-7 record.
