The game in Iwate supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Shimane Magic (29-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (9-27). Shimane Magic smashed Iwate Big Bulls 63-38 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Iwate Big Bulls was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Iwate Big Bulls to just 2 points in second quarter and to 9 points in first half. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Keisuke Takabatake (183-90) chipped in 14 points. American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) produced 7 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Makoto Sawaguchi (184-91) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Shimane Magic have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 29-6 record having just two point less than leader Gunma. Iwate Big Bulls lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 27 games lost. Shimane Magic will face Tokyo Z (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Iwate Big Bulls will play against the league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. and hope to win that game.
