There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Domodossola (6-13) defeated at home higher ranked San Miniato (11-9) 62-56 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Penny Hidalgo (175-96) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists and power forward Francesco Tuci (204-92) who added 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Senegalese Serigne-Sam Gaye (198-96) responded with 19 points and forward Gabriele Giarelli (197-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. San Miniato's coach Federico Barsotti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Domodossola moved-up to fifteenth place in B. Loser San Miniato dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Domodossola will face higher ranked Fiorentina (#8) in Firenze in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
