Regular Season Round 35: Guangsha L. - Shenzhen L. 97-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' (27-8) home victory over 6th ranked Leopards (23-13) in Hangzhou 97-90 on Sunday. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Leopards were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) added 23 points and 4 assists in the effort for Leopards. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Liaoning H. Loser Leopards keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face Jilin Tigers (#14) in Changchun in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Leopards will play on the road against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#16) in Hangzhou and hope to win that game.
