A very interesting game took place in Cordoba. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Barrio Parque (13-9) to fourth ranked Salta Basket (10-13) 78-76 on Sunday evening. Barrio Parque was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 25-14 third quarter run of Salta Basket. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American power forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise St., agency: Aspire Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Rodrigo Haag (193-95) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Andres Mariani (188-87) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and power forward Emiliano Martina (200-83) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Barrio Parque. Salta Basket maintains fourth place with 10-13 record. Barrio Parque at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Salta Basket will have a break next round. Barrio Parque will play at home against Mitre Tuc. and hope to win that game.
