Regular Season Round 38: Kagawa FA - Bambitious Nara 85-92

There was a minor upset in Takamatsu where 5th ranked Kagawa FA (10-26) was defeated by fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (13-23) 92-85 on Sunday. Kagawa FA was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 29-21 charge of Bambitious Nara, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Jamaican power forward Adrian Forbes (211-88, college: Auburn, agency: Haylett Sports) added 8 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious Nara have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-23 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 26 games lost.
