Regular Season Round 17: Kolossos HH - Olympiacos 59-70

The game in Rodou was quite interesting. Second ranked Olympiacos (16-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Kolossos HH (9-8). Olympiacos defeated Kolossos HH 70-59 on Monday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Olympiacos outrebounded Kolossos HH 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Thomas Zevgaras (201-1) who scored 13 points and 4 assists. American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American point guard Langston Hall (193-91, college: Mercer) produced 13 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Panathinaikos. Kolossos HH at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with PAOK. Olympiacos is looking forward to face Aris (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Kolossos HH will play on the road against Koroivos and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
