Regular Season Round 4: Tskaltubo - SEU Tbilisi 99-94

Tskaltubo has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat SEU Tbilisi (0-4) 99-94 on Tuesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tskaltubo made 8 blocks. American forward Travante Williams (197-93, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Duran International) fired a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. Uzbekistani center Dmitry Sviridov (212-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Jamal Wilson (195-90, college: Rhode Island) produced 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and the former international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89, agency: Aspire Sports) added 11 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Four SEU Tbilisi players scored in double figures. SEU Tbilisi's coach Lasha Edzgveradze rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tskaltubo (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. It was SEU Tbilisi's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Tskaltubo will meet league's leader Hyundai-TSU in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SEU Tbilisi will play against the league's second-placed DELTA (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
