Not a big story in a game in Mar del Plata where 7th ranked Penarol (14-20) was rolled over by third ranked Weber Bahia (20-12) 80-58 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Weber Bahia. Penarol was better in third quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Maximo Fjellerup (195-97) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and international guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) chipped in 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was swingman Jeronimo Baron (196-95) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Alejandro Diez (201-87) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Weber Bahia maintains third place with 20-12 record having five points less than leader San Lorenzo. Penarol lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 20 games lost. Weber Bahia will face Quilmes MP (#7) in Mar del Plata in the next round. Penarol will play on the road against Echague in Parana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
