Regular Season Round 19: Pyrinto II - HBA-Marsky 75-101

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked HBA-Marsky's (7-14) road victory over 10th ranked Pyrinto II (5-16) 101-75 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by HBA-Marsky. Pyrinto II managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HBA-Marsky dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto II's 28 and made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. HBA-Marsky forced 19 Pyrinto II turnovers. Point guard Edon Maxhuni (186-98) fired 28 points for the winners. Center Hannes Polla (212-98) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). HBA-Marsky's coach Antti Koskelainen felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jerrah Young (203-85, college: Toledo) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and guard Justus Kilpinen (193-93) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. HBA-Marsky moved-up to eighth place in Division. Loser Pyrinto II keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. HBA-Marsky will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pyrinto II will play against Forssan Koripojat (#7) and hope to secure a win.
