Regular Season Round 12: Homenetmen - Moutahed 86-72

An interesting game for Homenetmen (11-1) which hosted in Beirut 4th ranked Al Moutahed (6-6). First ranked Homenetmen managed to get a 14-point victory 86-72. Al Moutahed was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Homenetmen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. The former international swingman Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Homenetmen players scored in double figures. Homenetmen's coach Joe Nebhan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Dewarick Spencer (192-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Elias Rustom (197-87) added 9 points and 9 assists in the effort for Al Moutahed. Homenetmen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Al Moutahed at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Louaize. Homenetmen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Sagesse.
