Euromillions League top team - Oostende (16-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat ninth ranked Leuven Bears (6-14) 87-70. Oostende shot 61.5 percent from the field and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Oostende forced 19 Leuven Bears turnovers. Leuven Bears were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by international forward Pierre-Antoine Gillet (201-91) who scored that evening 14 points and Serbian center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 14 points and 4 assists by American guard Korey Billbury (193-93, college: VCU) did not help to save the game for Leuven Bears. Egyptian-American center Omar Samhan (211-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Four Leuven Bears players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oostende have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-4 record. Leuven Bears at the other side keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Oostende will play against Basic-Fit Brussels (#4) at home in the next round. Leuven Bears will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants (#2) and hope to get back on the winning track.
