Regular Season Round 21: Persbraten - Kongsberg 78-85

BLNO top team - Kongsberg (21-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Persbraten (2-23) in Oslo 85-78. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-16. But Persbraten won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Persbraten 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Oivind Lundestad (194-91, college: Point Loma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Hungarian-Swedish guard Zoltan Kurinczky (181-82) answered with 21 points and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Christian Bakken (198-88) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Persbraten. Kongsberg maintains first place with 21-4 record. Persbraten lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 23 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
