Regular Season Round 21: Minas - Paulistano 85-96

Everything could happen in Belo Horizonte at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Paulistano and 11th ranked Minas had identical 8-11 record. But Minas was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Sao Paolo 96-85 on Thursday night. Paulistano shot 69.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Paulistano looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Argentinian Daniel Hure (200-85) stepped up and scored 23 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners and forward Lucas Dias-Silva (209-95) chipped in 18 points. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94) with 33 points (!!!) (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and American guard Scott Rodgers (191-87, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) scored 17 points and 7 assists. Despite that victory Paulistano went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Loser Minas dropped to the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Paulistano will meet at home bottom-ranked Macae (#15) in the next round. Minas will have a break next round.
