American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and the former international Arthur Silva (196-82) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Universo/Vitoria's coach Regis Marrelli used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
