Second Stage Round 13: RSU - Limbazi 85-83

Eighth-ranked Limbazi (5-12) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked RSU (9-8) in Riga on Friday. RSU managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. RSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Ivars Ikstens (183-90) fired 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Aleksis-Valts Putnins (190-94) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four RSU players scored in double figures. RSU's coach Aivars Vinbergs used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Armands Osins (190-91) produced 30 points and 4 assists and guard Martins Kravcenko (194-85) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. RSU moved-up to fifth place. Limbazi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
