Important game to mention about took place in Alma-Ata. Fourth ranked Kazygurt (3-12) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Almat.Legion (6-9) 96-95 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Almat.Legion. Kazygurt made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Almat.Legion turnovers. Strangely Almat.Legion outrebounded Kazygurt 42-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Viktor Sotov (173-78) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winning side and guard Alymzhan Maxutov (181-94) accounted for 21 points and 4 steals. Five Kazygurt players scored in double figures. The former international center Vsevolod Fadeikin (206-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Yuriy Kozhanov (190-90) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Almat.Legion in the defeat. Almat.Legion's coach Nikolaj Tanaseychuk rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kazygurt maintains fourth place with 3-12 record. Almat.Legion at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
