Regular Season Round 37: Sichuan BW - Tianjin GL 117-109

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked TianJin Steel (19-19) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Sichuan BW (22-15) 117-109. They made 40-of-53 charity shots (75.5 percent) during the game, while TianJin Steel only scored fourteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded TianJin Steel 52-37 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sichuan BW players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 40 personal fouls committed by TianJin Steel helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 12 assists. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice, agency: Stealth Sport) contributed with 27 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 assists and 5 steals (made all of his eight free throws) and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) added 26 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Steel. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TianJin Steel's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sichuan BW. Defending champion maintains seventh place with 22-15 record. TianJin Steel at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Sichuan BW's next round opponent will be Beijing Ducks (#8) on the road. TianJin Steel will play against the league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige having rather not much hope for a victory.
