Regular Season Round 37: Bayi R. - Qingdao E. 104-100

Bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Qingdao Eagles in Ningbo 104-100. Qingdao Eagles were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. International forward Yuchen Zou (203-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and guard Lei Meng (193-95) accounted for 24 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) came up with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Greek center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Qingdao Eagles in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bayi Rockets maintains twentieth place with 7-30 record. Qingdao Eagles at the other side keep the twelfth position with 21 games lost. Bayi Rockets will play against higher ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in Taiyuan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Qingdao Eagles will play on the road against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and hope to get back on the winning track.
