Regular Season Round 24: Sudety - Miedzychod 73-65

Very predictable result in Jelenia Gora where third ranked Sudety (16-6) beat 10th ranked Miedzychod (7-14) 73-65 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sudety made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was power forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sudety players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Pawel Kopcinski (178-95) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and center Adam Adamski (201-87) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Miedzychod's coach Marcin Chodkiewicz tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sudety have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-6 record having seven points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. Loser Miedzychod keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Sudety will face Koscian (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Miedzychod will play against Rawia in Rawicz and hope to win that game.
