Date: February 18, 2017
There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Yokohama BC (14-23) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Akita Happinets (10-27) 84-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Akita Happinets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Akita Happinets had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Canadian center Scott Morrison (213-86, college: Portland St.) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Akita Happinets will face again Yokohama BC (#5) at home in the next round.
