Second Stage Round 2: Samorin - Good Angels 56-83

The game between Top Four teams took place in Samorin. host Samorin (0-8) was smashed by Good Angels (7-1) 83-56. Good Angels dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 34. They outrebounded Samorin 37-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) notched 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and international Dominika Baburova (179-91) supported her with 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by the former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St.) did not help to save the game for Samorin. Point guard Gabriela Nagyova (174-92) added 15 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Good Angels will play against Piestanske C. in Piestany in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play on the road against MBK Ruzomberok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
