Regular Season Round 21: Zornotza - Zamorano 81-70

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Zamorano (5-16) lost to tenth ranked Zornotza (11-10) in Amorebieta-Echano 70-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 32-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Bahamas swingman JR Cadot (196-87, college: TCU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Joseba Estalayo (188-96) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively for Zamorano in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zornotza moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Valladolid and Alcazar. Zamorano lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. They share it with Albacete. Zornotza will meet higher ranked Moron (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zamorano will play against the league's second-placed Sammic ISB (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
