An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagoya. Third ranked Chiba Jets faced second-ranked Diamond Dolphins. Guests from Chiba (24-13) smashed host Diamond Dolphins (21-16) 94-75. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-75. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chiba Jets made 7 blocks. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and international power forward Tenketsu Harimoto (198-92) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chiba Jets maintains third position with 24-13 record having seven points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Loser Diamond Dolphins keep the second place with 16 games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond Dolphins will play again against Chiba Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
