We should mention about the upset which took place in Aldeota, where 8th ranked Vasco Da G. (11-10) lost to eleventh ranked SKY/Basquete (9-10) in a road game 80-89. SKY/Basquete made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Vasco Da G. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Felipe Ribeiro (201-79) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) answered with 20 points and 7 assists and the former international power forward Murilo Becker (211-83) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Vasco Da G.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKY/Basquete moved-up to tenth place. Vasco Da G. at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. SKY/Basquete will play against higher ranked Mogi (#6) in Mogi das Cruzes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vasco Da G. will play at home against Paschoalotto/Bauru and hopes to get back on the winning track.
