Regular Season Round 39: Bambitious Nara - Kagoshima 91-66
Date: February 18, 2017
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Kagoshima's (5-32) road loss to fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (14-23) 66-91 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bambitious Nara. Kagoshima was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and American-Panamanian forward Tymell Murphy (196-90, college: FIU) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kagoshima. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bambitious Nara have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Loser Kagoshima keeps the sixth position with 32 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face again Kagoshima (#6) in Renova in the next round.
