Regular Season Round 28: Al Khor - Al Shamal 75-83

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Al Shamal (6-11) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Al Khor (2-14) 83-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Al Khor won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Al Shamal won last quarter 26-20. Quite impressive performance for Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-92, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. American point guard Reggie Hamilton (182-89, college: Oakland, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 24 points and 8 assists for the winners. American point guard Dairese Gary (185-88, college: N.Mexico) replied with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Ahmed Mohamed-Hisham added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Al Khor. Al Shamal maintains sixth position with 6-11 record. Al Khor lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Al Shamal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Sports Club.
