Leader Bologna recorded the sixteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Fanola SML (8-10) 72-46. The game without a history. Bologna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fanola SML to just 6 points in third quarter. Bologna dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Fanola SML's 26. They outrebounded Fanola SML 41-25 including 19 on the offensive glass. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bologna maintains first place in A2 with 16-2 record. Newly promoted Fanola SML keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Bologna will face Civitanova (#5) in Civitanova Marche in the next round. Fanola SML will play at home against Marghera and hope to win that game.
