The game with biggest result difference took place in Ishikawa. Local Kanazawa Sam. (22-2) outscored 5th ranked Aisin AW (12-14) 103-57 on Saturday night. Kanazawa Sam. dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Aisin AW's 36. They outrebounded Aisin AW 51-27 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Aisin AW's players. Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Yusuke Inoue (194-82) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Guard Michinari Oose (180-89) responded with 14 points and point guard Kei Kato (172-93) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa Sam. have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-2 record behind leader Fukuoka Rizing. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will meet at home bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aisin AW will play against Saitama Broncos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
