The game in SC Laguna was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Distrito Olimpico (11-8) played at the court of seventh ranked Adareva (11-8). Adareva managed to secure a 7-point victory 64-57 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 31-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Adareva dominated on the defensive end, holding Distrito Olimpico to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Distrito Olimpico 50-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. Distrito Olimpico was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Ty'Desheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 24 rebounds. Swedish forward Abigail Asoro (183-93, college: Iowa Western CC) helped adding 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) responded with 17 points and power forward Elena Diaz (188-92) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Adareva moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Distrito Olimpico. Adareva will face IF Air Europa (#13) in S'Arenal in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Distrito Olimpico will play against Batalyaws (#10) and hope to win that game.
