Regular Season Round 24: AZS PP - Pelplin 61-88

Leader Pelplin delivered the twentieth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked AZS PP (2-20) 88-61 in Poznan. Pelplin dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PP's 28 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Pelplin forced 23 AZS PP turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Tomasz Krzywdzinski (202-95, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Pelplin's coach Przemyslaw Bielinski felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jan Sobiech (192-96) who recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Mateusz Rutkowski (178-93) added 13 points respectively. Pelplin (20-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. AZS PP lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 20 games lost. Pelplin will face AZS UMK Torun (#5) at home in the next round. AZS PP will play against Tarnovia (#10) in Tarnowo Podgorne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
