Rather expected game when 9th ranked Mann Filter (8-11) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Universitario de Ferrol (10-9) 79-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mann Filter won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Universitario de Ferrol won last quarter 24-17. Universitario de Ferrol outrebounded Mann Filter 39-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Maria Perez-Araujo (182-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Roneeka Hodges (180-82, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 19 points and 5 assists and Slovakian forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Mann Filter. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Universitario de Ferrol moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Campus Promete and Araski. Mann Filter lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Cadi La Seu and Bembibre. Universitario de Ferrol will play against league's leader Perfumerias Avenida in Salamanca in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mann Filter will play at home against Al-Qazeres (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
