There was a minor upset when 6th ranked KFUM Ostersund (10-13) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Visby Ladies (8-15) 76-73 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But KFUM Ostersund won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded KFUM Ostersund 45-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian guard Mante Kvederaviciute (180-90) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. American guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) replied with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and forward Elsa Paulsson-Glantz (183-95, college: Salt Lake CC) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Ostersund. Visby Ladies maintains ninth position with 8-15 record. Newly promoted KFUM Ostersund keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Visby Ladies will face higher ranked Mark (#4) in Kinna in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
