Argon Uni Girona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Argon Uni Girona had a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American Ifunanya Ibekwe (187-89, college: Arizona, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: Florida St.) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Argon Uni Girona players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic (181-89) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Shereesha Richards (185-93, college: Albany) added 11 points in the effort for Zamarat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Argon Uni Girona. They maintain second place with 17-2 record behind leader Avenida. Zamarat at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Argon Uni Girona will play against CREF Hola (#13) in Madrid in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Zamarat will play on the road against Socinsa Bembibre and hopes to get back on the winning track.
