An interesting game for Lulea Basket (18-5) which hosted in Lulea 4th ranked Mark (11-11). Second ranked Lulea Basket had an easy win 123-69. The game without a history. Lulea Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Mark's 48. They outrebounded Mark 46-23 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) contributed with 24 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Tiasha Gray (170-94, college: Austin Peay St.) replied with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and international center Elin Ljunggren (185-96) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mark. Lulea Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 18-5 record having three points less than leader Udominate. Mark at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Norrkoping. Lulea Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Sallen (#10) in Uppsala in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mark will play at home against Visby Ladies (#9) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
