No shocking result in a game when second ranked Toyota Alvark (28-7) defeated on the road 6th ranked Toyama Grouses (8-29) 82-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toyota Alvark led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. The former international swingman Shohei Kikuchi (191-84) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas, agency: Inception Sports) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific, agency: Pensack Sports) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Toyota Alvark and four Toyama Grouses players scored in double figures. Toyama Grouses' coach Bob Nash rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Toyota Alvark used an opportunity after Tochigi Brex lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Toyama Grouses lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 29 games lost. Toyota Alvark's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo .
