Second Stage Round 5: Kapshagay - Kazygurt 89-82

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kapshagay. Second ranked host Kapshagay (9-6) defeated 4th placed Kazygurt (3-12) 89-82. They outrebounded Kazygurt 48-25 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kapshagay players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Guard Leonid Voronushkin (185-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Vyacheslav Raguyev (195-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Kapshagay players scored in double figures. Forward Zhandos Kaliyev (197-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Kirill Nikulochkin (190-88) added 26 points and 6 assists in the effort for Kazygurt. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kapshagay maintains second place with 9-6 record having just three points less than leader Bars. Kazygurt at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
