The game in Okinawa was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (17-19) played at the court of 5th ranked Ryukyu GK (16-22). Hitachi Sunrockers defeated Ryukyu GK 87-71 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-71. It was a good game for point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Yuki Mitsuhara (198-89) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ryunosuke Watanabe (185-94) answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds and international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Ryukyu GK. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains fourth place with 17-19 record. Loser Ryukyu GK keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face higher ranked Niigata Albirex (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ryukyu GK will play against the league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya and hope to win that game.
