Regular Season Round 10: JNE BSC - Aspac 62-65

Date: February 19, 2017
A very interesting game took place in Bandung. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked JNE BSC (2-5) to third ranked Aspac (6-2) 65-62 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It looked good early as JNE BSC took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aspac had a 16-9 second period charge getting the lead and JNE BSC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-65. Worth to mention a great performance of Abraham-Damar Grahita (201-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Andakara-Prastawa Dhyaksa (173-92) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Vinton Surawi (185-82) replied with 22 points (made all of his eight free throws) and American forward Chris Brand (208-90, college: Lincoln, PA) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for JNE BSC. Four JNE BSC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Aspac maintains third position with 6-2 record having just two point less than leader Satria Muda. JNE BSC at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Aspac's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Jakarta to the arena Satria Muda.
