The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gent Hawks (16-4) on the court of sixth ranked Houthalen on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Houthalen 73-71. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Gent Hawks. Center Dario Clemente (204-86) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Bart Maesen (198-89) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Houthalen players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Gregory De-Pooter (197-84) responded with 18 points and guard Laurent Lhote (182-84) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Houthalen (12-9) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Soba. Gent Hawks at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. Houthalen is looking forward to face Melsele (#8) at home in the next round. Gent Hawks will play against RPC Anderlecht (#12) and are hoping to win this game.
